3 Rules For Life As A Sponge

Sometimes you end up cleaning the mess someone else made and their dirt becomes trapped within you.

It begins to fester and you become heavy with baggage. Woe, such is life for a sponge.

But there is hope for you yet, dear sponge, if you can remember these rules:

  • Rule #1: Don’t compare your life to that of other sponges.

Too often do we look on the other side of the glass and forget about the blessings we have. Comparison is a never-ending self destructive loop - not every sponge is happy living in their tropical fruit.

  • Rule #2: Go outside.

Never underestimate the healing power of fresh air and sunshine on your pores.

  • Rule #3: Gratitude for being used for all your potential.

If you are doing what you were made to do, if you feel like you are living up to your life’s potential, you cannot help but to appreciate life for all that is. Even if you are scrubbing dirty dishes.
